Puerto Rico

Loved it! The condo was great. We had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. The location was also great. Ocean view from sunrise to sunset. The ocean was beautiful and only footsteps away. This location provided easy day trips to other areas of Puerto Rico. We were allowed a later check out time which was helpful due to our flight time. All wonderful! I wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing and wonderful location!

The place is located perfectly steps from the beach. The view is the best part! It was beautiful during the day and just as amazing at night. You can definitely experience the island feeling, as you decide to be a little adventurous, when you walk the shore line towards the left of the beach/building. The tide comes in and you walk on water the whole time. It is beautiful. The stores and gas station are really close. We recommend renting a car, you are able to commute much easier and the GPS did not fail. The place was very well prepared and the instructions in using everything accordingly was prepared perfectly. We had no problems in our arrival or departure. We felt right at home. The balcony was very accommodating as well. We will definitely return and have suggested this place to others. Thank you for the hospitality!

Very, very nice place with a stunning view!

The apartment was even better than I expected. We are a family with 5 persons and we really enjoyed a spacious rooms. The best part was the stunning view and the walking distance to the Luquillo-beaches.

A Delightful Week at "Chrystal Blue", Luquillo

We (four seniors), enjoyed our week at "Crystal Blue" and recommend it to others without reservation. The condo is comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the ocean views couldn't be better. The balcony is terrific: shaded, large enough for 4-6 people, unrestricted views and a sense of privacy. The beach is uncrowded and lovely (as shown in photos), but because of the grasses in the water we preferred swimming at the adjacent Balneario de Luquillo beach. Our choice of Luquillo as a home base turned out to be ideal for day trips to Old San Juan, the rain forest, Fajardo, and driving along the eastern coast to Guayama. The second bedroom is fine for children, however we suggest that making it as comfortable and attractive as possible would ease the disappointment of couples who do not draw the master bedroom.

Great stay on the beach

Our family of 4 had a great stay in this apartment. The beach is so close, and was never crowded. There is a reef very close to shore that made for some interesting snorkeling. The apartment comes with plenty of beach and snorkeling supplies. I was a little concerned at the lack of AC in the main living area, because I run hot, but it's not needed. There is a constant, strong breeze, and great cross-ventilation. The AC in the bedrooms is enough to take the edge off at night. Our host was available and responded quickly when we had questions. There is not a whole lot going on in Luquillo itself, but it is a great central location for seeing other things. El Yunque is only 10 minutes away. Fajardo and the Bio Bay only 20 minutes. San Juan only 45 minutes. And the Kiosks. Oh, we loved the kiosks. Any and every type of Puerto Rican food in one big strip. They are 5 minutes away and we went 4 times in a week.

Amazing!!!!

One word- AMAZING!!! The resort is absolutely the best in the whole PR. It is like a little jungle in the island. Gorgeous. The Villa is wonderfull. We had everything we neede on our stay and more. The golf cart was a big plus. We had an amazing representative- Tanya. She thought of such a tiny details as our brekafast the next morning. We found in the fridge everything we needed. And a little Pina Colada treat :) Thank you Tanya. We enjoyed our stay very very much. Thank you!!!!

I really wanted to write a good review. It has positives but too many negatives to pass over.

We have been to Puerto Rico before and used VRBO rentals in other parts of the world so we have experience in this location and have a set level of expectations. Pros : Location - we choose this place because each time we have come to PR we enjoy the ocean breezes and really wanted a place on the beach. Winner here! We happened to be there during some storm activity so the protected area really cut down on the wave action. Cleanliness - the place was very clean and ready to go Cons: Noise - Being on Luquillo Beach, which is public, you have to expect some noise. The noise level was quite low but during the first night there was a party going on that lasted all night up through the next afternoon (deep bass house music!). We thought it was from the Kiosks but upon investigation that morning it was a party on the beach close to the condo. Unfortunately, my wife does not sleep well with noise so we were not off to a great start. I called the manager the next morning to gather any information I could. Alana stated the police can't and will not do anything. She did not offer to call to see what could be done. I called them and they stated if it continued they would look into it. Who knows what would actually happen if it continued but it would have been nice to receive a different response from the manager. We know PR has a problem with feral cats and dogs but in previous stays elsewhere they were never a problem. The condo has two cats that meow very loudly each night in front of the condo. Lastly, trash pickup occurs at 2am for the condo and again, it is exceptionally loud. Obviously, these can't be controlled but please be aware of what can occur. Beds - the beds are firm so if you do not like firm beds look elsewhere. The master has plywood as support rather than a box spring. It is noisy when moving around too. Appliances - upon arrival we were told the dishwasher died. Sunday night the oven died. This posed a bigger problem than the dishwasher given how we cook. When asked what concessions, if any, would be made given the situation we were told "no, it was out of our control." Of course it would be but no offer of any kind was made nor do I even recall an apology for the inconvenience. Our impression was the manager/owner is only out for the $ and cares nothing about repeat business or good will. There are dozens of condos to choose from. Avoid this one and be wary of others with this manager/owner combo (there are several).

Perfect beach spot!

Amazing location with great views. Spacious condo with two balconies and well equipped with most beach gear - chairs, snorkeling gear, etc. The kitchen, although in need of a good set of knives, has mostly everything to make meals. The beach directly in front of the condo is perfect for young children. 200 feet to the right the water is free of sea grass and great for swimming. Keep walking to the right and it's perfect for surfing. If you walk to the left, you'll come to Luquillo Beach which is about a 20-minute walk at a leisurely pace. Most of the time, we had the beach to ourselves. Alana, the property manager, is very responsive from check-in through check-out. We had a very quiet and relaxing stay. Shout out to Jibaros (a kiosk at Luquillo Beach) and Aromas (coffee shop at the plaza in town). Great meals, good prices. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.

Great little condo on the beach!

My family and I had a great stay here. Alana was very responsive and helpful. The property is a little dated but you cannot beat the convenience and location. The best restaurant, Pasta y Pueblo, is minutes away...in fact you can walk from the condo down the beach to it. Highly recommend the Bacardi tour and snorkeling while you are in PR.Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Families with Teenagers.

Family Vacation

We visited this property on a family vacation and the location is awesome!!! We had two adults and two children with us(15,7) and we could have accommodated on more child if needed. The open airy living room and kitchen is prefect for the beach and the bedrooms cooled down nicely at night for sleeping, air conditioners worked great. We stayed at this property for 8 days and had only one very minor hiccup. the battery on the gate opener went out but Alana was right there to bring us another one within 5 minutes! She provided great service from the moment that we arrived( she met us very early in the morning to let us in which was very nice). We liked that the property had all of the necessities for a family vacation. The beach toys, water toys, first aid kit, laundry items, and bathroom necessities came in very handy. The location was perfect for driving to the various popular destinations in Puerto Rico. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as the grocery store. This property allowed us to have a very relaxing and fun family vacation!!! The Perfect Place

I looked at over 25 places before settling on this one. I am glad I did. Beautiful condo with extensive ocean views. Very comfortably furnished. The breeze that comes in from the ocean will seduce you. The beach is very good and safe for children. You will not want to leave. There are restaurants close by as well as grocery stores. The Luquillo Kiosks are accessible through a short walk on the beach. I'm already planning our return next year. Perfect, on the beach Location

This is the 2nd time for us to stay at this property. We enjoy the secluded, small property, directly on the beach location. The condo is very spacious and the balcony is great for relaxing. We love having all the windows and doors open to enjoy the ocean breeze. The location is central to most activities - The yummy food kioskos, El Yunque, Fajardo to catch ferry to Culebra or Viequest, marina for diving/catamaran, and bio bay. The management is very responsive and the unit is stocked with everything you will need. Very nice home directly on the beach

Wonderful condo directly on the beach. Comfortable beds and furniture. Very friendly management. Given directions and greeted close to the property so she could guide us in that way we did not get lost. Just very hospitable giving us direction on what to do and they had wine and snacks prepared for when we arrived. Kitchen has everything needed. Location was absolutely perfect. Whatever your plans are you can get to them quickly from this location. Highly recommended. Beautiful beach and quiet location

Our family had a wonderful week at this condo!! Great amount of space and room for five to sleep comfortably. Fantastic beach for long walks and great swimming, body boarding and surfing lessons! Great stay

We were thrilled with the condo. Nice space and an awesome view, right on the beach. It was particularly great for our two small kids as the water is pretty shallow there and there are no waves. But if you want more, it's a quick walk down the beach to deeper water. Alana was great, made our stay delightful.

Rent this CONDO!

We have stayed in many beach front condos and this was by far the best for the money I have ever stayed in! The view and proximity to the beach and breeze cannot be beat. The balcony is exceptional and we spent so much time just relaxing out there. The condo was plenty roomy for the 5 of us and was very comfy. Kitchen was well appointed with spices, oils, vinegars, etc for cooking. Even had an espresso maker and French press. Sand toys for the kids, blow up boat, but bring your own snorkeling gear if you want that. Location was awesome for going to Monkey Island, Biobay and Rainforest. We walked to the Kiosks (via the beach) for dinner. Beach is shallow in front of the condo which is great for small kids. walk to the left or right and there are waves for the more adventurous. Surf wall is a short beach walk to the right. I will definitely come back here again. Don't rent a big SUV though. The road back to the condo can be packed and I was glad we had a relatively small car and not a big Jeep or Hummer! I agree with the other reviewers that the manager Alana was wonderful. Perfect rental!

This was the perfect rental for a 1st time vacation to Puerto Rico. It is exactly as listed - contemporary furnishings and updated kitchen. The 2 balconies were a huge plus as this condo had the best view of the 2 condo units. The condo is located on the western part of Loquillo beach but was better for being quiet and relaxed compared to the public park area of beach. The best part was drinking morning coffee on balcony and watching the sunrise! Highly recommend this rental for anyone staying in Loquillo - Alana was very welcoming and provided a lot of local recommendations.

Perfect relaxing vacation spot for our family

Our family of five stayed here for 5 days while in PR for a wedding. The views and access to the beach were amazing, and the location was no more than 15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go: El Yunque, Fajardo, the ferry to Vieques, the Kiosks, etc. The condo itself had everything we needed in terms of space and amenities and was also very tastefully decorated. Having not one but two balconies with an ocean view was a luxury! Alana could not have been more helpful, especially when I temporarily lost the keys! She showed up with another set within minutes so that we had time to get ready for the wedding. She also made sure we knew where all of the grocery stores were and even gave me good suggestions for my morning run. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Puerto Rico, we would absolutely stay here again!

Sunrise Delight

If you like early mornings, you'll love this condo, as the views are spectacular for the morning sunrise over the ocean. As a matter of fact, it's simply a great overall location with a beautiful beach literally at your doorstep. Property is well maintained, well-equipped with kitchen items, and property manager was excellent to work with (and promptly provided us with a blender at our request). Recommended for: Age 55+, Families with Teenagers.

We can't imagine staying anywhere else!

I can not begin to express how AMAZING this condo is. This was my husbands and mine's 5th trip to Puerto Rico and this was BY FAR the BEST place we have ever stayed. It blew the Wyndham Resort out of the water. It had everything that we needed and more. You can not beat that view from the balcony. We spent every morning and every evening on that balcony. The condo is close to everything we enjoy including El Yunque, Luquillo Beach and the Kioskos. And on days that we didn't want to travel at all, it was nice to just walk out the door and be steps away from the beach. Alana, the property manager was amazing. She checked in with us to make sure we needed anything and was very responsive via text or phone. We felt better knowing she was available if we needed her. 5 stars for her too! Breathtaking Views

Overall our stay was great...the view from the apartment was breathtaking! It is located at the end of the beach area therefore you get the beautiful beach and privacy from the crowds. The apartment was clean and decorated very nice. It has everything you need to prepare a meal and is well equipped with toiletries, beach gear, movies, games, etc. The apartment is walking distance from cafeterias and close to shopping and places to visit like El Yunque !!! The property manager was nice and just a phone call away. She welcome us with a bottle of wine and hordevers!!! Thank you !!!! Amazing stay in this condo

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. Everything was perfect! The condo is well equiped, clean, nicely decorated, close to the beach and to many activities (El Yunque National Park, public beach, Fajardo). You're not far from San Juan if you want to take a day to visit the city. Alana, the property manager, did a fantastic job and was always available for us if needed. We definitely plan to come back and we highly recommend this place. Winter Vaca

I think I speak for my whole family when I say our stay was fantastic. The condo was absolutely beautiful and the view was perfect. With our family of 5 the condo was a perfect fit and it was big enough to where we weren't tripping over each other and our things. Luckily most of our excursions were very close to the condo making it convenient and easy to go to and from. Our property manager was amazing and did a thorough job at showing us the condo and around the condo, she was very insightful on where to get food and some of the hot spots around the area. Our family would definitely recommend the area/ condo to anyone who loves a peaceful spot to relax in.
