Sand Dollar Beach is a short walk away, and can be reached on foot. Towels are complimentary at the pools and at the beach.
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for gourmet cooking, while the elegant living/dining area provides plenty of space for leisurely dining and entertaining. Immediately adjacent is the generous open-air veranda with additional leisure space. And the door from the living area to the veranda can be fully opened to create one huge indoor/outdoor leisure area.
The pool area is just in front of the entrance to the property and is like a resort within a resort. It features its own BBQ cooking area with refrigerator and ice maker, along with a pool table for use by our guests. Complimentary towels and lounge chairs are also available for your enjoyment of the multi-form pool.
Best features: Having breakfast on the veranda surrounded by the lush tropical greenery, which impart a sense of peace and serenity.

The trip to St. Regis Resort ( a short drive from San Juan) and accomodations at Esmeralda made thr stay extremely enjoyable. Assuming that most of the 2 bedroom accomodations are physically similar, Esmeralda was differentiated by the ambience created by furniture choices, colors and lighting. Everything was pleasing and calming as expected. The real distinguishing features that made the stay 'Outstanding' were the people behind Esmeralda. People matter. The staff/owner realize the needs of the customer and offerd to make accomodations to meet specific needs that we had. In our case, given our arrival and departure schedule, John/Annette accomodated an early check-in and late check-out without any fuss, because they could. During the booking process, all communication was answered within 24 hours. We were met exactly on time at check-in, given a quick briefing of the area and provided with the essentail details. Paricularly pleasing and noteworthy, were the 'essential' grocery and other items that were stocked before check-in. Bread, milk, eggs, fruit, snacks, soda and yes, beer and rum. A great way to start.The condo was clean, airconditioned to the right temperature with food and drink waiting. All one needed to do is to take a deep breath and start relaxing. Then drive the golf cart to very private beach and take it all in. Check-out was breeze and the security deposit was released promptly. All in all - a delightful experience.

Had a nice stay at this lovely Villa. The resort amenities are not to be missed. The grounds of the resort are truly spectacular. Property manager Annette is very attentive to customer needs and provided excellent customer service. The only thing lacking in the entire resort (and not a fault of this particular property) ..is a choice of dining venues. While it is great to have the villa which is completely stocked with everything you need to cook, the choices for food at this 5 star resort are pretty limited.

Perfect spot for an upscale relaxing vacation. Unit was well equipped, quiet and comfortable. We loved the beach and beach front pool. Golf courses were manicured to perfection.

We could not have been happier with our stay. Our reservations were easily made and seamless. As others have mentioned, the breakfast supplies and drinks made such a difference after our day of travel. What a nice touch! We bought the rest of our groceries at nearby Ralph's. The condo was clean and superbly furnished. We were even able to get an air mattress as our daughter preferred that over sharing. It was all set up for our arrival. We love the location, close to the pool but with a lovely view overlooking hole 10. The golf cart was a significant benefit as well and much enjoyed by our kids. With the resort passes we had easy access to more amenities like the boat house, bikes, kayaks, etc. and the additional pool. Our kids, 6 and 9, loved the kids Iguana Club! Could not have been happier with our stay and we will be back. Thank you for the superior service!

We had an awesome vacation at Bahia Beach, that started with Annette and the Marco Polo team. 24hrs before we were to arrive, our 1.5yr daughter got a stomach bug. Annette was incredibly responsive and accommodating as we adjusted our travel dates and arrived/stayed 2 days later than planned. She could not have been more helpful and it made all the difference in our vacation. The villa - Verandas, building 5 - is situated on the golf course and directly across from the Verandas pool. The 2BR villa was very clean, comfortable and FULLY-STOCKED with every kitchen amenity - blender, toaster(s), coffee maker, espresso, French press - and every possible piece of serve/glassware needed for entertaining. The refrigerator was even pre-stocked with the essentials - milk, eggs, bread, juice & rum. (thanks, Marco Polo team!) The setup couldn't have been more convenient for a family with 2 young children. (Annette also made arrangements for a crib and high chair for our daughter, which was great.) The sand toys included with the villa, as well as the golf cart were the highlights for my 4yr old son. Without the golf cart, it would have been difficult with the kids to get back and forth to the pool, St. Regis, golf club, etc. The Verandas pool was always quiet - we were the only guests ever there. My kids loved the small, shallow pool at Verandas but we spent most of our time at the beachfront, member pool at Sugar Beach(beach passes needed). The family pool is separated from an adults only pool by a waterfall which my son loved. We most often ate lunch/had drinks at the pool at the Beach Club and we had dinners at the St. Regis. All of the restaurants are incredibly kid-friendly. We ate frequently at Seagrapes, as it was casual and easy with the kids. Fern is by the far the best restaurant on the property. Dinner was excellent and it, too, though more "formal" was very kid-friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Bahia Beach and plan to return soon! A beautiful apartment, in the midst of a gorgeous resort. We cannot imagine a more peaceful way to disconnect from reality. Surrounded by nature - easy access to beautiful sandy beaches, golf, incredible pools, drinks, and food... and the service by all staff members at the resort is impeccable. This was our second year in a row - we hope to make it three next year!

This place is amazing, and so convenient to golf, the Member's pool and the Clubhouse bar and restaurant. The furnishings are top quality, and the layout of the unit is open and gets great light all day long. Also, because it overlooks the 10th Hole facing away from the afternoon sun, you can enjoy the terrace all afternoon and evening. We could not have picked a better place. John and Annette at Marco Polo were extremely helpful and responsive in booking the place and getting us set up with keys, the Member/Guest badges and the golf cart (which was a real treat!). Can't wait to return!!!

One word- AMAZING!!! The resort is absolutely the best in the whole PR. It is like a little jungle in the island. Gorgeous. The Villa is wonderfull. We had everything we neede on our stay and more. The golf cart was a big plus. We had an amazing representative- Tanya. She thought of such a tiny details as our brekafast the next morning. We found in the fridge everything we needed. We love Bahia Beach (this was our third time back) and decided to give the villas a try, instead of staying at the resort itself (the St. Regis). We loved it and are already searching for dates to return. This particular villa is perfectly situated - across from the pool, down the street from the Boathouse and a quick golf cart ride to the beach club (our kids loved the golf cart!). The villa is also perfectly appointed - well stocked kitchen, peaceful patio and plenty of room for our family of four. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. They will have our business for years to come!

The Bahia Beach Club condo we rented via the Marco Polo property mgmt team was outstanding, a beautiful 2Bdrm unit with all the nice touches. Every detail thought of and the unit stocked with everything you need during your stay. The resort property and and amenities were also amazing and we had access to the unit assigned family golf cart throughout the stay to buzz over to the beach club pools, restaurants, ocean beaches etc. Make sure to spend time at somewhat secluded Sand Dollar beach (by the 18th hole on their private golf course), nice tiki bar open on the weekends and very quiet relaxing place to boogie board, walk the shoreline and enjoy the waves and the tropical views. We will plan to return, great family spot for a winter break! James R
