Te beach is a short walk away, and can be reached on foot or with the golf cart that is included with this property free of charge. Towels are complimentary at the pools and at the beach.
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for gourmet cooking, while the elegant living/dining area provides plenty of space for leisurely dining and entertaining. Immediately adjacent is the generous open-air veranda with additional leisure space. And the door from the living area to the veranda can be fully opened to create one huge indoor/outdoor leisure area.
The pool area is very close to the entrance to the property and is like a resort within a resort. It features its own BBQ cooking area with refrigerator and ice maker, along with a pool table for use by our guests. Complimentary towels and lounge chairs are also available for your enjoyment of the multi-form pool.
BEST FEATURE: Having breakfast on the veranda surrounded by the lush tropical greenery, which impart a sense of peace and serenity.

If you are looking for peace and quiet surrounded by nature, Villa Athena is perfect. Violetta and Annetta at Marco Polo are very helpful, just the right amount of communication plus the assure if you need them they are just a call away. Just had a wonderful weekend! The apartment’s location is perfect, bright mornings and shady afternoons, views are gorgeous, with partial ocean and mountain on opposite sides. Your can breathe peace and tranquility and that is exactly what we were expecting. Decor is high end, a welcomed surprise was the original art throughout, I would only add a couple of comfy lounge chairs in the living. The beach club is top notch and beautiful manicured grounds just outside the private terrace. Hurricane Maria’s pummeling is still evident in some areas of the resort, but the beach is still one of the BEST in Puerto Rico with very little sand errosion, perfect for a morning jog or late afternoon stroll. I highly recommend Villa Athena, staff was attentive, aware and available, communication was prompt and unintrusive. Courtesy refreshments and some food basics where also a very nice surprise. Can’t wait to escape to this little piece of heaven on Earth.

The property is beautiful! My family of four (2 children under 6) stayed at Villa Athena for almost a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The villa was perfect and Annette with Marco Polo was so helpful and quick to respond with anything we had questions about. If/when we go back to Puerto Rico we will definitely stay here again!! I guess the best review I can write is that this is the second time staying at this Villa, and I want it again for next year! The staff was very helpful, and everything was in order. The Villa was clean and supplied with some essentials that made our stay a 5 Star stay. I recommend the Villa for anyone looking for a two bedroom place. It is conveniently located and tranquil. This is a five star experience, a beautiful property packed with fun activities for every member of your family. From golf, tennis and swimming to nature walks, paddle boarding, secluded beautiful beach access and more. There is no need to go offsite, this place has it all. the grounds are maintained beautifully and a range of toys from bikes, boogie boards, sand toys and more are all provided for as a part of the resort fee. I do recommend a rental car to allow for grocery runs and any excursions to rain forest etc. Cabs are somewhat unreliable due to the more remote location. A golf cart is provided to make getting around the expansive resort property fun and efficient. Accomodations were well appointed, clean and tucked into beautiful greenery. Every morning we enjoyed the covered patio. The property owners were extremely responsive and helpful - outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this place - you will not regret!

This was the perfect place for our girls' getaway. At first, I was hesitant to rent because of the lack of reviews, and now I'm hesitant to write a review since I want this place to be available to me in the future! The pictures are accurate and John's team is responsive to inquiries before and during your stay. It comes with a golf cart rental that lets you jet around the facilities, passes for the Bahia Beach Resort amenities (poolside, beach, boathouse and gym). The beach was not crowded at all and quite beautiful. There's also a pool near the villa but we didn't really use it, preferring the beach. There are some more pricey restaurants on the resort grounds, but you can also get groceries and cook for yourself, or take a short drive to some cheap and awesome local restaurants. The golf course is right behind the villa and it's really quite beautiful, with birds chirping at night and in the morning. We stayed for three nights but could have easily stayed a week.

We had a terrific time, celebrating the holidays with two of our friends. The place is in the best location, has a perfect layout, great light and was absolutely spotless. We would not hesitate to rent it again, and likely will!
